Cold upstairs rooms
Your loft may be under-insulated, unevenly insulated, or poorly ventilated.
Why this happensOld or contaminated insulation
Damp, damaged, pest-contaminated or ineffective insulation may need removing before replacement.
Insulation removalBadly boarded loft
Boards fixed directly to joists can crush insulation and reduce performance.
Raised boardingSpray foam mortgage or survey issue
If spray foam has been flagged by a surveyor or lender, careful removal may be needed.
Spray foam removalStorage without losing insulation
Raised boarding provides usable storage while preserving full insulation depth.

Our Services

Insulation Removal
Standard Insulation Removal
Removal of existing fibreglass or mineral wool insulation. Recommended when old insulation is damaged, contaminated, or needs replacing with a higher-performing solution.
Granulated / Blown-In Removal
Loose-fill and blown-in insulation requires specialist removal. Often found in older properties where it has settled, compacted, or become ineffective over time.
Open-Cell Spray Foam Removal
Spray foam can cause issues with mortgage surveys and roof ventilation. Careful removal restores the loft to a mortgageable condition and allows proper insulation to be installed.
Insulation Installation
200mm Mineral Wool Top-Up
If your loft already has some insulation but it's below the recommended depth, a top-up to 200mm brings it closer to current standards and improves heat retention.
300mm Mineral Wool Installation
A full 300mm installation meets current Building Regulations. This is the most common and cost-effective way to insulate a loft properly.
SuperFOIL SF19+ Installation
A high-performance multifoil insulation installed in line with manufacturer guidance. Correct fixing and airflow gaps are maintained to ensure it performs as intended.
Loft Boarding
New Raised Loft Boarding
Loft boards installed on raised legs above the insulation layer, giving you usable storage space without compressing the insulation beneath.
Raising Existing Boarding
If your loft is already boarded but the insulation underneath is crushed or insufficient, the boarding can be raised to allow full-depth insulation beneath.
Why LoftFix
We do one thing, and we do it properly.
Work carried out by dedicated loft specialists. Fully insured for residential work.
Loft-Only Specialists
We don't do general building work. Every job is a loft job, which means we know exactly what we're doing.
Properly Specified Work
Work isn't rushed. Insulation depth, material choice, and installation method are all considered carefully for your specific loft.
Ventilation Considered
Ventilation and insulation depth are considered together. Poor ventilation leads to condensation and damp — we make sure that doesn't happen.
No Pressure Sales
We don't use high-pressure tactics or misleading offers. You get honest advice and a clear price. That's it.
Direct Communication
You speak directly with us throughout the process. No call centres, no middlemen, no runaround.
Certified Completion
Every project ends with a certificate confirming the work completed, materials used, and insulation depths installed.

What We Do Not Do
Trust is built as much by what a company refuses to do as by what it delivers.
We do not compress insulation
Boarding placed directly onto insulation crushes it, significantly reducing its thermal performance. We raise boarding above the insulation so it retains its full depth and effectiveness.
We do not under-specify
Some installers fit the minimum to keep costs low. We specify the correct insulation depth and type for your loft, in line with current Building Regulations.
We do not rush installations
Every installation is completed methodically. Cutting corners to save time results in gaps, poor coverage, and reduced performance.
We do not upsell unnecessarily
Where items like loft hatch insulation, lap vents, or pipe lagging are needed, they are included. We do not present essential work as optional extras.
We do not use pressure-based tactics
There are no time-limited offers, manufactured urgency, or high-pressure follow-ups. You receive honest advice and a clear quote, then you decide in your own time.

What Our Customers Say
Real reviews from real homeowners.
"Wanted to congratulate Loftfix Ltd, and especially Connor, for their excellent customer service. I made an enquiry about loft insulation and Connor emailed back so quickly, and so late in the evening, that I couldn't help but be impressed. His friendly response gave me all the information I needed, and he even went to the trouble to find out, somehow, exactly the size of my lift - which then led to him being able to quote for the job. He followed his emails up with a personal phone call the next day and was able to answer every question I had. Connor, you were amazing - what a great advert for small honest businesses that put customers, not profit, first. Thank you, and good luck to you in the future."
