Upgrading insulation makes the loft colder, because less heat escapes into it. If moist air from the house still reaches that colder space and cannot escape, condensation follows. That is a ventilation and air-sealing issue, not an argument against insulating.

Why ventilation matters more after insulating
A well-insulated loft relies on airflow across the space to carry moisture away. Eaves must be clear, and where the roof has no usable eaves gap, lap vents between tile courses can restore cross-flow.

Common questions
Can loft insulation cause condensation?
Insulation itself does not create moisture, but it makes the loft colder. Without adequate ventilation and hatch sealing, that colder air can allow condensation to form.
