Why Proper Installation Matters
Loft insulation is only effective when it is installed at the correct depth, laid without gaps, and paired with adequate ventilation. Under-specified insulation or careless installation can leave a home losing significant heat through the roof, regardless of what material is used.

200mm Mineral Wool Top-Up
If your loft already has some insulation but it is below the recommended depth, a top-up to 200mm brings it closer to current standards and improves heat retention.
300mm Mineral Wool Installation
A full 300mm installation meets current Building Regulations. This is the most common and cost-effective way to insulate a loft properly.

SuperFOIL SF19+ Installation
A high-performance multifoil insulation installed in line with manufacturer guidance. Correct fixing and airflow gaps are maintained to ensure it performs as intended. SuperFOIL is not suitable for every loft — we only recommend it where it is genuinely appropriate.
Ventilation Is Always Considered
Insulation and ventilation work together. Adding insulation without considering airflow can lead to condensation, damp, and timber damage. We evaluate ventilation on the day of installation and fit lap vents where required at no extra cost.

Mineral wool installation is priced per square metre — £10/m² for 100mm, £20/m² for 200mm, £25/m² for 270mm, and £30/m² for a full 300mm depth. SuperFOIL installation is priced separately.
